Get Schooled on Lauren Moffatt & OPI's Orange Nails

LMH Models, OPI Nail Polish

Orange you glad bold colors are here to stay? Pantone named tangerine the color of the year, so it was only fitting that OPI kicked off New York Fashion Week with orange nails for Lauren Moffatt's Fall 2012 show.

The designer cheekily sent her models back to class, showing her '70s-inspired collection against backdrops of blackboards and easels. Amongst a palette of navy blue, cream and harvest gold hues, OPI's bright new shade "A Good Man-darin Is Hard to Find" stood out against the retro silhouettes.

Lauren's collection was the first to show orange off at Fashion Week, but it likely won't be the last—it's expected to be a huge trend for nails this year. Want to try the look yourself? Be sure to keep nails short and squoval (that's square and oval, natch), just like the OPI manicurists did to give the perfect pop of color.

Keep reading for another look at the collection, then check out more of our fave recent nail looks here.

Stars Kick Off Fashion Week in Heart-Stopping Red Dresses

Aisha Tyler, Chaka Khan, Cindi Leive, Christie Brinkley, Debbie Phelps, Elisabeth Rohm, Giselle Blondet, Gloria Estefan, Idina Menzel,

Before the stars fill the coveted front rows at New York Fashion Week fall 2012, a slew of them got in a little catwalk action of their own earlier tonight at the Heart Truth's Red Dress Fashion Show. Now in it's 10th year, the production raises funds and awareness to educate women about heart disease. To commemorate the milestone, the celebs flocked to the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC in head-turning scarlet designs—each one completely unique.

Jenna Dewan Gets V-Day Festive in a Tadashi Shoji Frock

Jenna Dewan

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and Tinseltown starlets are getting into the lovey dovey spirit . Actress Jenna Dewan feted the upcoming holiday when she donned a head-to-toe red (or is it more pink?) ensemble while supporting husband Channing Tatum's The Vow premiere in Los Angeles yesterday.

>>>TREND: Celebrate V-Day with red skinnies

The Tadashi Shoji confection looks sweet enough to eat and was especially becoming on the Hollywood darling. The long sleeve, feminine dress had a pleated and tiered tule skirt with flirty ribbons around the waist. She complemented her Valentine's Day look with a crimson Edie Parker box clutch and matching Casadei pointed pumps. Coral lips, wavy dark curls and smoky eyes topped off her look. She definitely looked ready to celebrate the season of love with her heartthrob hubby. Channing's one lucky man!

The focus of New York Fashion Week may be on the incredible couture creations, but the latest and greatest hair trends are also debuted during this biannual event.

>>>FLASHBACK: Runway/ Front Row: Spring 2012

Back in September, Giambattista Valli showcased one of spring 2012's hottest hairstyles—the half-lacquered, half-loose 'do. Soon after leggy models sported this look down the catwalk, Kate Beckinsale made sure to jump on the trend pronto.

Who's That Girl? Jessie J Gets a Major Makeunder

Jessie J

Excuse us, Jessie J, but is that you?

The raven-haired singer has been spotted around England recently, and to say we didn't recognize her would be an understatement. Gone are the blunt bangs and gem-encrusted onesies we've come to mock.

>>>REWIND: The way Jessie was!

Instead, the very slimmed-down Brit left the BBC Radio One studio in London in a black coat, faux-lace printed scarf, red sweater and shiny leggings. But even more noticeable than the covered-up duds and new 'do was the faux glow that the once pale singer had going on. We always knew that a little tan in the can did a body good.

Save for the clashing patterns, we dig this new look. She looks healthier and happier than ever, and turns out she doesn't have to make like Nicki Minaj or Lady Gaga and constantly put on a show. That being said, fingers crossed that her next album comes complete with a bedazzler.

Stay Glammy Year-Round With Briella's Beauty Must-Haves!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

The first season of Glam Fairy may be over, but you can keep the "glam" going 24/7 by incorporating some of my favorite primping products into your beauty routine.

Glam Fairy

I'll let you in on a little secret. My signature scent is Viktor & Rolf's Flowebomb. I was getting my hair done awhile back and kept getting a whiff of this incredible fragrance next to me. One of the hairstylists introduced me to it. It smells sooooo amazing and puts me in such a good mood. It's fresh and flowery with a hint of badass to it. I usually save it for special occasions, or when I want to add a little extra pizzazz to my day.

Which Model Stole the Emperor's New Clothes?

DUI

We don't hate on women with great bodies here, but no one with a pair of eyes can defend this hot mess. This Sports Illustrated model took the lyrics to Young Jeezy's "All White Everything" a little bit too far. This sheer lace jumpsuit leaves nothing to the imagination and makes us wonder what was going through her mind when she donned this table cloth then marched out the door. At least she remembered the frilly boy shorts in a short-lived spot of sanity. Despite the tragedy of the Balenciaga jumpsuit, the addition of the belt managed to baffle us even more.

So who is she? Find out in our Fashion DUI gallery!

LAX Lookbook: Victoria & Harper Beckham Flaunt Matching Plaid

Victoria Beckham, Harper

After spending some time cloistered away in her "Beckingham Palace" estate in England, Victoria Beckham is working the runway again. The airport runway, of course! The Spice Girl-turned-designer is known for her dramatic preflight struts and as usual, her and her daughter's ensembles did not disappoint when they arrived at LAX yesterday en route to her Fall 2012 presentation in NYC.

>>>MORE: Other celeb moms in chic ensembles

Victoria decided to dress herself and Harper Seven up in complementary plaid pieces with baby Harper wearing a red and black plaid dress while Mummy sported a dark plaid skirt that featured nice side buckle details. Posh teamed the maroon short sleeve sweater by Miu Miu with Walter Steiger platform boots.

>>>RELATED: Victoria and Harper wow at LAX

We were shocked that she decided to not self-promote her namesake label for once, but we guess after winning the British Fashion Award for Designer Brand of the Year, Victoria can afford to show fancy to her competition.

Beyoncé Represents Baby Blue on Second Mommy's Night Out!

Beyonce

Move over, Christina Hendricks. Just one month after giving birth, Beyoncé has got old Hollywood, va-va-voom curves for days—and she's taking full advantage of it!

The stunning superstar hit up Carnegie Hall in New York City for the second night in a row Tuesday for the last of rapper husband Jay-Z's two-night charitable concerts.

Shout Out, Mystyle Blog Inset graphics

She represented her man in an all-black-everything ensemble, which included a sparkling Monique Lhuillier dress, Chanel muff purse and Gucci sandals. But her stylish love for her family didn't stop there.

Coats Make Chic Cocktail Wear

TREND: Trench coat dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Chloë Moretz (Miu Miu), Alexa Chung (Marc Jacobs) and Kirsten Dunst (Burberry Prorsum)

HOW TO WEAR IT: Trench coats are a staple during the winter. However, celebs are showing us that we can rock coats as dresses—yup, you heard that right! For a literal approach, look to Kirsten, who made her navy trench a frock by defining her waist with its belt. And since the look was already fashion-forward, she went for go-to black pumps. To make your ensemble even more winter-friendly, simply slip on a pair of tight à la Alexa. Another way, you can go about this trend is by going monochromatic. Chloë did so when she teamed her shiny red dress with matching strap heels. There is only big rule you must remember: Make sure you cinch your waist, if not you'll look too boxy.

Hollywood's Hottest Mamas Are Ready to Pop!

Hilary Duff, Jennifer Garner, Alyson Hannigan

Baby Bump Watch 2012 is on! It was hard not to notice Hilary Duff, Jennifer Garner and Alyson Hannigan when all three stepped out for much needed family and pampering time. After all, Hilary and Jen are about ready to pop, and Alyson hasn't stopped smiling announcing that she was expecting again.

But our baby fascination has little to do with who's announcing what and everything to do with what they're wearing. Seriously, how do they all manage to either wear killer shoes or look like they're staying comfy despite carrying an extra twenty pounds around? If that's not impressive, than we don't know what is. (Save for Jessica Simpson in sky-high spiked heels—she still wins the shoe-off.)

>>>MORE: Alyson's flashy maternity style

Take Hilary, for instance. While the printed wide-leg pants are essentially glorified pajamas, her Splendid scoopneck maternity top, giant bronze statement necklace and nude wedges are perfect for, say, a baby shower (read more about that after the jump!). Jennifer, the furthest along of the bunch, kept her kicks sensible for a family fun day at the beach in Santa Monica. Her plum long-sleeve top and flared jeans were easy to move around in, which is exactly what she needed.

But our favorite look is definitely the How I Met Your Mother star's salon day ensemble: a striped V-neck paired with stonewashed skinny jeans and snakeskin flats. Alyson can't stop smiling, and we're pretty sure it's because she knows she looks très chic. We can't wait to see what other stylish stops the star pulls out—and we'll concede, we're also dying to hear the baby names soon.

Ask Style: Why Is New York Fashion Week a Big Deal?

Missoni Model

What's with all the fuss surrounding New York Fashion Week? Why should I even care?
—Serena,
via the Ask Style inbox

Spy Says, Mystyle Blog Inset graphics

Fashion and beauty trends may seem to just come out of the blue—without warning everyone's sporting cut-outs (we're looking at you, Rooney Mara) or dip-dyeing their hair (Selena Gomez hit the dye most recently). We know these fads appear to be the random whims of the Fashion Gods, but they're actually born on the runway at fashion weeks around the world. With the madness of New York Fashion Week descending upon us in a hot minute (check back here for complete coverage!), there's no better time to take an interest in the designs that you will be wearing for the next season. Who's That Girl? Viola Davis is the Newest Couture Cover Girl

Viola Davis, LA Times Magazine

Before seeing The Help, we thought, "Why isn't Emma Stone our BFF?" But after we left the theater, all we could say was, "Viola Davis is ah-may-zing." (We also wondered who outfitted Emma with that curly wig, but that's a separate musing.)

We weren't the only ones. Viola scored an Oscar nod for her role, so it's only fitting that L.A. Times Magazine made her their cover girl. Granted, we did a double take before we realized it was Viola—the cropped hair and high fashion shots through us off!

>>>PHOTOS: Can you guess these cover girls?

The gorg black-and-white photos alone are worthy of a nominations, not to mention the long-sleeve lace Marchesa dress she dons on the cover. Organza flower shoulders and lace detailing upped the glam factor, as did that smoldering stare. That being said, we're not used to such subdued looks from Viola. Keep reading to see her most recent bright turn.

Which Hollywood Veteran Thinks She's Still on Vacation?

Glenn Close

We all like to hit up the shore during the right season, but it's good to know when to let go. We can understand holding on to balmier times by sporting a floppy hat or beach sandals, but this actress took it too far. What deranged stylist told her wearing a Hawaiian print coat was okay? Hawaiian print doesn't look good when sweaty, vacationing 40-year-old men with midlife crises wear it, so it would never look good on a trench! At an Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon, your outfit should make us go wow, not make us want to book a cruise...mainly to flee your misguided wardrobe choices. Well, at least if you put your ear up to her ensemble, you can hear the ocean.

So who is she? Find out in our Fashion DUI gallery!
