Jo Frost

Jo Frost

Jo Frost was catapulted to international fame when she became the star of Supernanny. She won the role over hundreds of other applicants thanks to her outstanding child-care skills, sincerity and candid style. She debuted in the UK in the summer of 2004 with just three episodes and became an overnight sensation, garnering widespread popularity and acclaim. She made "Naughty Step" and "Your behavior is very naughty!" national catchphrases, and received a rave in the House of Commons during a discussion about preventing antisocial behavior.

When the U.S. version of her show debuted in January 2005, it became an instant ratings hit, and Jo won national praise from TV critics and columnists. Jo has appeared on Oprah, Live with Regis & Kelly, The View, Good Morning America, 20/20, Rachael Ray, Ellen, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show and many other major national programs. She has had three books on the bestseller list, including the most recent, Jo Frost's Confident Baby Care.

Jo says children have been a big part of her life from the beginning. She's always had a natural gift for connecting with kids on their own level, and for connecting both parent and child organically. She began babysitting as a teenager and, after college, embarked on nannying as a career. With more than 20 years in child care, she has honed her successful methods of child rearing with hands-on, real-life experience. She has encouraged and helped parents with every kind of challenge—from potty training and sibling rivalry to sleep concerns and tantrums—and continues to place practical solutions into homes, whether problems are extreme or everyday challenges.

In addition to numerous awards in the UK, Jo and Supernanny were nominated for a People's Choice Award, and in 2006 she received an International Emmy Award nomination.

Jo actively gives her time to numerous nonprofit charities, helping raise money and advocate for those in need on both sides of the Atlantic.
